Printed Endpapers File Preparation

[Links] Single sided endpaper file preparation

The size of your printed endpaper layout should be your book height by twice your book width. Include 0.25" of bleed on all sides.

Example: If your page trim size is 8.5" wide by 11" high, your endpaper will be 17" wide by 11" high. Including the bleed, the overall size will be 17.5" wide by 11.5" high.

If your endpaper design is identical in the front and back of your book, you can submit a single page endpaper PDF. If the front and back endpapers will have different designs, please submit a separate PDF for each, labeled accordingly. See our specifications for additional printed endpaper file setup guidelines.

Printed endpaper file preparation best practices

You can include any design you wish on your printed endpapers. Often, printed endpapers feature a repeating design or pattern. Some customers use full color photography or a family tree.

Printed endpaper layouts should be the book page height and twice the book page width, plus 0.25" bleed on all four sides.

For duplex (4/4) printed endpapers, add a second page to your layout that is half blank, half printed.

See our Prepare Your Files page for additional file setup information.
